So graduation has come and gone, everyone around me who has graduated is all stressed, I however am completely calm and thrilled about what is in store for my life.  I have an amazing boyfriend who each and everyday I think, WOW this is amazing and an amazing family.

I currently have a part time job that I cant wait to get to everyday, and along with this comes the oppertunity to fill the rest of my time with the other things that I love, cake decorating, card making, home decor, scrapbooking …… what this means is that in 2010 I will be discovering new ways to make money at the above hobbies.  Any suggestions?  All are welcome, I have a few exciting things to share with you soon but wanted to give an update on life as of now!

So I have been so busy since I posted last, mainly Graduating from college and celebrating Christmas with the family!  I also made all the Christmas cards that I sent out, and the thank you notes for the graduation party, I am just starting on the Christmas thank you’s and my graduation scrapbook!  But December was also a month for MANY baked goods!!  I made so many baked goods I could have opened a  bakery out of my house but only a few of them were decorated, and I must say I surprised myself with how they turned out!

I made this cake for Invigo Day Spa for Christmas

I made this cake for an employee at 95.5 The Beat's baby shower for her twin Boys!

Stay tuned for a few more pictures to come of some of my favorite Christmas creations!

It is my favorite time of year, seriously the excitement that I feel at Christmas time is just like no other!  I have had so much fun making cards for Christmas during the past few months, but there are still more to make so here are some of what I have so far.

I am also about to embark on some pretty huge tasks, I am going to scrapbook Flip and I since we started dating almost 4 years ago, my nephews lives and my graduation scrapbook.  I am expecially excited about the graduation one because it is going to be black and white and crushed curry.  I also am going to have everyone at the graduation party fill out little cards with a memory of me and some advice for life in the real world and I am going to put those in the scrapbook with pictures of graduation and my party and i have to finishing making my Christmas tree skirt!  I also have two huge but awesome cakes to do this weekend!!

But before all of that can begin Christmas cards MUST get in the mail!!!  The fact that it is the 3rd and I have not mailed them yet is SO out of character for me, seriously lol

So i havent updated in a while here is what has been going on in this crazy hobby filled life…Last weekend I baked things for church, then all week I worked with the lovely Katherine Shores on our senior project, including a photo shoot with KSUs mascot scrappy the owl, I also made another name frame for a babies room, as well as i finalized things for our trade show at work that over 1000 people will be attending.  This includes but is not limited to recording announcements, editing, preparing the 1000 name badges, and making 60 table decorations, I will post pictures soon.  This weekend was gift making weekend at Wendy’s and I was there from 11 – 6 Friday and 10 – 2 today and got everything done, and they are beautiful.  This weekend is also Archivers gift weekend so i went there on Friday as well.  Friday night was also stamp club at Mandy’s we made a quilt card and a never ending card.  Tomorrow I will make and decorate 75 red hat cookies for the Dawson County red hat society meeting.  I also have to finish the table decorations, and make some thank you cards for some folks as well as a few people who helped out at my grandmothers funeral!  I will leave you with this picture of my pumpkin cake!  It is my favorite for this time of year.  I owe you guys a lot of pictures, and I will get them to you but right now I just wanted to make a visit to the blogosphere and let you know I hadnt forgot about you!

Two of the most meaningful words to me are thank you!   I always had to write thank you notes for presents growing up.  Then as I got older I stopped.

Now that I make my own cards I am a thank you card fanatic.  I love making them and sending them, because I get to show off my stuff and it really is so kind and one of the lost arts of today’s busy world.  Here are a few Thank you cards I have made!

Stitched with thanks!
